Fix: Paperclip:: CommandNotFoundError – Fedena

Posted on .

After installing Fedena, you may get the following error when trying to upload a logo for the school, or a photo for a user’s profile:

(Logo) Paperclip::CommandNotFoundError

This can be resolved by installing the rmagick gem:

apt-get install imagemagick
apt-get install libmagickwand-dev
gem install rmagick

Still got an issue? Let’s hear in the comments (:

    Hello, I had Install fedena from you post, but I can not generate pdf report

    • What error(s) do you get?

      • eltablazo

        I get this one:
        Sorry. Something Went Wrong.
        Error 500- Internal Server Error

        • And I’m assuming you’ve installed the required libraries as shown in the post above? Clear your server error log, restart the system, try to generate a PDF and post the error from the file.

          • eltablazo

            Yes, but when I restart the system I can no see my fedena website anymore say that the webpage is no found

          • You probably just need to restart fedena? How did you install it?

          • eltablazo

            I had use the script that is in this website

          • Okay log back into the server using SSH. Switch to the directory where fedena is installed using the “cd” command (e.g. “cd ~/fedena-v2.3-bundle-linux”) and run:
            screen -d -m mongrel_rails start -e production -p 8088. <- That will start Fedena the proper way in a screen session which you can connect to using 'screen -r'.

            But to resolve your error, let's see if Rails pipes any relevant information to a file. Start Fedena in development mode using "nohup script/server -p 8088", and try to use the system. After a few failed tries, copy the file 'nohup.log' file and mail it to me. n3rve -at- n3rve.com

            how can I Clear my server error log

          • What operating system / version are you running?
            Those errors will be logged to a .log file whose location is dependent on the environment you started rails in.
